So long, Little Armor.
Two years ago I released my last album called "Little Armor." It was recorded with The Lost Cause, my band of almost three years. A lot happened in my life in the months immediately following its release, and I slowed down significantly in terms of moving forward with my career as a performing songwriter (aka: I had to get a "real" job to pay my mortgage, and I started a band called The Foresters… which took what little attention I could give to music at time).
I never felt like "Little Armor" got what it deserved from me. It was my best work as songwriter, and the guys in my band brought those songs to life. One music critic even ranked it as the 5th best album of 2010, alongside artists like Mumford and Sons, Kanye West, and Ben Folds.*
So this is my swan song for an album that I care for very much.
Next week "Little Armor" is going to be removed from iTunes and Amazon MP3. I still have a few hundred hard copies that you can get directly from me, but this is your last chance to legally download it in full online. I'd appreciate it if you would give it a listen and download a few tracks before it goes away.
Am I still writing new music?
>> Absolutely.
Am I still a performing songwriter?
>> Sure.
Will I ever release another "Tim Wildsmith" album?
>> I hope so.
Where did I go?
>> I moved to Nashville. Writing a book, new songs, and getting married.
I'm proud of "Little Armor."
You should buy it.
Thanks.

* Kevin Coffey, music journalist - "Wildsmith put his full songwriting talent – and his musical chops along with his band’s — into creating this record. The love he puts into these rock songs comes out in every tune. The songs are moving whether they’re performed by a full band or just by Wildsmith himself, and that’s good’s songwriting."
